My Coffee Addiction

Coffee AddictionOh how things have changed…up until just a few years ago I had no interest in Coffee and couldn’t stand the taste or smell of it.

The only time I ever came near it was to help cure the aftermath of a night of too many adult beverages.

But then something changed…it started with that evil Keurig machine and my wife takes all the blame for that.

At first it was a medium blend or breakfast blend to start the day and get a little pick me up in the morning.

Wow it seemed so strong at first…I got the jitters and wondered if this is what it felt like to be hyped up on drugs.

But over time it seemed weaker and weaker and I found myself needing stronger and stronger blends to satisfy.

Give me a French or Italian roast and make it burn my sinuses please 🙂

I started frequenting Starbucks…often times to just walk in and smell the heavenly aroma that was always available.

Cappuccino, Frappucino, yes please.

Over time I liked stronger and sweeter drinks, even attempting to recreate them at home.

Was this still coffee? What was going on?

Slowly I grew tired of sweetness and started craving something different…again.

One day I discovered a Cold Brew that was available right by where I was getting my milk.

Uh Oh…this is different. This is good.

Refreshing in the summer with that Caffeine kick.

Recently decided to try Vanilla Iced Coffee at Starbucks and that is my current addiction.

My taste in coffees may change but the addiction will always be there. There are endless varieties to explore.

I guess there are worse things to be hooked on … eh?

So that sums up my coffee addiction…is anyone else in the same boat? Share your thoughts …
